Last week we celebrated “Hebron Liberation Day”, marking the 44th anniversary since the IDF entered Hebron on the 3rd day of the 6-Day War.
A pre-Shavous party, led by Batsheva Cohen, was held on our Chabad terrace for the female soldiers serving in our area to celebrate the occasion.
As always, besides learning about Hevron and the upcoming Yom Tov, the girls enjoyed spending time in the kitchen with Batsheva and learning how to prepare delicious dairy delicacies, customarily served on Shavuos.
Shavuot is the day when we got the Torah at Mount Sinai and receive it each year on a deeper level than the year before. Every Jewish man, woman and child should be in synagogue on Wednesday June 8 to hear the reading of the Ten Commandments. Hey, it’s food for our soul!
Rabbi Danny and Batsheva Cohen and the entire Chabad of Hebron staff bless all our beloved friends and supporters with a ‘Chag Shavuot Sameach’. May we all merit receiving the Torah anew this year in good health, with joy and gladness.
