The famous Toras Emes Chabad yeshiva, which was founded in 1912 in Hevron, returned to the city for Shabbat to celebrate its 100th anniversary. Staff and student body filled Beit Romano – their former home – with the joyous Jewish sounds of prayer, singing, learning, and Chassidic gathering in honor of the day. Originally founded by the Rebbe Rashab, Rabbi Sholom DovBer – the fifth Lubavitcher Rebbe, the yeshiva was forced to relocate to Jerusalem following WWII and has been on Yirmiyahu Street ever since. Rabby Danny had a blast joining in the Chassidic festivities. “I look forward to the day the yeshiva, or a branch or it, comes home to Hevron.”
